The Immediate Unexpected Benefits of Yoga?

Let’s pick up where we let off yesterday shall we?

Approximately 2 weeks into this experiment.

What had began as a silly idea to self, was quickly evolving into my unyoga method. For lack of a better word to explain my practice.

I realized, I was calmer, more focused, and had a little more energy.  In general I was operating more effectively and efficiently. I was ecstatic this was way more than I had hoped for, after all in the bagining I was just looking to relieve some streesed out muscles more effectivly and theraputically

The benefits I had experienced encouraged me to continue to seek ways to incorporate more and different types of yoga poses into my life and routine. I set out to expand my knowledge of yoga, and the different practices. I also became more open minded to learn more on the meditation aspect of it.

I reasoned that if just the exercise was this beneficial what kind of results would I get if I did practice yoga as recommended 3 times a week for 30 minutes, but I still didn’t have that kind of time to devote to myself.

Koo Koo for Karma

I started researching yoga, this was back before Google was such a powerhouse, so online research was almost unheard of, it was also painstaking and time consuming, so my research mostly was done in a library,.

When I learned that yoga is one of the six major schools of thought in Hinduism, the oldest religion in the world, its as if a ligt bulb went off in my head. By the time I got through  the beliefs on karma. I was hooked.

Hindus believe in karma, the law of cause and effect by which each individual creates his own destiny by his thoughts, words and deeds. This may be the cause behind such surprising results. some things I had been experiencing.

Through the Christian teaching that you will reap what you sow, I was familiar with the concept that what you put out into the Universe you get back. Although I had experience of this in an abstract sense, what I experienced through yoga was much more tangible.

What I experienced was results from a belief system that I knew very little about.  Here are a changes I witnessed  after a month.  Approximately 4 weeks into my new practice.
